CA - Sep 4, 2007 -- Micrologic Design Automation, Inc., an
electronic design automation (EDA) developer, today announced that
it has joined EDA Partners program of United Microelectronics
Corporation, (NYSE:
UMC; TSE: 2303). The program promotes
EDA support and interoperability between UMC and other
companies' design tools.
Micrologic's
nanoRVInteractive™ and
VisuaLVS™
EDA tools
integrate with Cadence's Virtuoso LE/XL/GXL Layout Editor platform, offering interactive Reliability-Aware design environment
and Automatic LVS Correction system that reduce reliability and LVS verification time by more then 50%.
Micrologic will provide a built-in support for UMC technologies
including deep nanometer ranges.

interactive automation to the current manual process of integrated
circuits layout design, providing reliability solutions, reducing

nanoRVInteractive™
is a nanometer
range EDA tool that interactively eliminates reliability issues
during the construction of integrated circuit’s physical design. The
tool automatically checks for reliability phenomenon including but
not limited to electromigration, self heat and voltage drop (IR
Drop) during the construction of IC layout, creating a
Reliability-Aware mask
design environment.
VisuaLVS™
-
New, innovative EDA software which is based on recent real-time
technology. This program is a plug-in into Cadence’s Virtuoso
platform, enabling automatic, interactive LVS (Layout versus Schematic)
correction environment. The program reads a circuit netlist and the
results of LVS check (From the Industry’s standard LVS checkers) and
automatically corrects LVS mismatches. Our system provides a
powerful tool that will eliminate LVS issues during the integrated
circuit physical design phase.
